The middle tier. 7.5mm VibranCore SPC core with attached 1.5mm IXPE pad totals 9mm under-plank — more rigidity than Gemstone for projects that span uneven subfloors or need extra dimensional stability. 9-inch wide planks, same click system. 8 colors.
Summit Collection — 8.5mm SPC
The flagship. 8.5mm VibranCore SPC core with attached 1.5mm IXPE pad totals 10mm under-plank — the thickest VibranCore plank Vellichor makes. Hides minor subfloor imperfections better than thinner tiers and includes a herringbone variant (Shasta Herringbone, VC-709H). 9 colors.

Where is Vellichor manufactured?
Vellichor manufactures internationally and ships to U.S. distribution centers including their Hayward, California warehouse at 3463 Arden Road. Kapriz orders from Hayward — about 24 miles from our Santa Clara showroom — which keeps lead times short and lets us cross-check color matching in person before shipping to your project.
What’s the difference between the three Vellichor tiers?
All three tiers (Gemstone, Galaxy, Summit) share the same VibranCore SPC core technology, the same 20-mil wear layer, the same 1.5mm IXPE attached pad, and the same FloorScore + Greenguard Gold + Zero Formaldehyde + CARB Phase II certification profile. The difference is plank thickness: Gemstone is 6.5mm (8mm with pad), Galaxy is 7.5mm (9mm with pad), Summit is 8.5mm (10mm with pad). Thicker planks hide minor subfloor imperfections better, feel denser underfoot, and span uneven subfloors with less prep. Choose Gemstone for budget-conscious whole-home installations on flat subfloors. Choose Summit when subfloors are uneven or when underfoot density is important.
Is Vellichor good for kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes — every Vellichor tier is 100% waterproof and approved for installation in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and laundry rooms. The integrated waterproof seal in the VibranCore SPC core means standing water on the surface won’t buckle the plank or leak through to the subfloor. Concrete subfloors require a 6-mil polyethylene moisture barrier underneath for the warranty to apply — that’s standard practice across the SPC industry.
Can I install Vellichor over radiant heat?
Yes, with limits. Vellichor is compatible with hydronic radiant heat systems only — electric heating mats are not approved. Maximum permitted floor surface temperature is 81°F (27°C). Use an in-floor temperature sensor. New concrete or gypcrete subfloors must cure for a minimum of four weeks before operating the radiant system. Damage from radiant heat exceeding spec is not covered under warranty.
What’s the Vellichor warranty?
Lifetime Residential and 12-Year Light Commercial Limited warranty across all three Vellichor tiers (Gemstone, Galaxy, Summit). Coverage is for the original end-user purchaser, single-site installation only — non-transferable. Manufacturer install specifications must be followed for warranty coverage to apply: a 6-mil polyethylene moisture barrier over concrete subfloors, no additional underlayment beyond the pre-attached IXPE pad, expansion gap maintained per spec, and acclimation 24-48 hours in a 65-85°F climate-controlled space before install.
