What is Hoag's?

Hoag's is a waterproof, wood-look SPC floor built around a neutral-leaning pale mushroom beige color, with a heavy residential, light-commercial-ready wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. The stone-polymer core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Hoag's is protected by a 20 mil wear layer — measuring about 0.50 mm — designed for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It's a common step-up in wear-layer thickness, where the extra protection starts to matter.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Minor scratches on Hoag's stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern — low visibility, not just high durability.

What does the plank surface look like?

Each Hoag's plank shows a watery, swirling ribbon figure with soft feathered lines and gentle wave crests, and no knots to break the flow. The pattern reads as movement rather than rustic character. The printed surface is sealed under a 20 mil wear layer, and a 1.5mm IXPE acoustic underlayment comes attached to every plank to soften sound in an open kitchen and dining area.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm IXPE acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Hoag's is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?
