Amber is a rigid, wood-look SPC floor built around a soft color, with a heavy residential, light-commercial-ready wear layer for a durable, easy-care finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Everyday spills, pet accidents, and mop water won't swell, warp, or delaminate the planks when wiped up promptly; standing water should still be cleaned up quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; test the subfloor for moisture before installing.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Amber is protected by a 20 mil wear layer — that's approximately 0.50 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It's a common step-up in wear-layer thickness, where the extra protection starts to matter.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Amber's 20 mil wear layer and finish are rated for pet claws, chair legs, dragged furniture, and heavy daily traffic — the scratch resistance that matters in kitchens, entryways, and pet households where foot and paw traffic concentrates.

What does the plank surface look like?

Each Amber plank shows a flowing straight grain with cathedral figure arching down the middle. A tight oval eye knot sits mid-board, with smaller knots scattered toward the top and bottom and fine mineral flecks following the grain lines. The print runs board to board with gentle variation, so no two planks look identical across a floor. The surface is a wood-look print protected by a 20 mil wear layer that resists everyday scuffs and scratches.

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Amber's factory-attached 1.5mm IXPE acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.
