SPC Technical Notes
Acclimation: Store boxes flat in the installation room for 48 hours at 65–85°F and 35–65% relative humidity before installing.
Subfloor: Flat to within 3/16 inch over 10 feet. Fill low spots and grind high points before installation.
Moisture barrier: A 6-mil polyethylene moisture barrier is required over concrete subfloors. Not required over wood subfloors that pass moisture testing.
Installation: Floating click installation. Leave 1/4-inch expansion gap at all walls and fixed objects. Do not glue or nail.
Maintenance: Sweep or dry-mop regularly. Clean with a damp mop and pH-neutral cleaner. Never use wax, polish, steam mops, or abrasive cleaners.

What subfloor types are compatible?
Amber can be installed over concrete, plywood, OSB, and most existing hard floors. The subfloor must be flat to within 3/16 inch over 10 feet. Fill low spots and grind high points before installing.
Is this floor scratch resistant?
Yes. Amber features a 20 mil Ceramic Bead Coating wear layer rated AC4 for abrasion resistance — protecting against everyday scratches and scuffs.
Can I install this floor myself?
Yes. Amber uses a Uniclic glueless floating click system designed for DIY installation. No adhesive required. A basic tool set and a flat subfloor are all you need.
Does this floor need an underlayment?
No separate underlayment is needed. Amber has a 1.5mm IXPE anti-microbial acoustic underlayment already attached. Simply float it over a prepared subfloor.
Is this flooring 100% waterproof?
Amber is built on a 100% waterproof SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) rigid core. It will not swell, warp, buckle, or delaminate from water or moisture exposure — making it safe for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and laundry rooms.
