Acclimation: Store boxes flat in the installation room for 48 hours at 65–85°F and 35–65% relative humidity before installing.
Subfloor: Flat to within 3/16 inch over 10 feet. Fill low spots and grind high points before installation.
Moisture barrier: A 6-mil polyethylene moisture barrier is required over concrete subfloors. Not required over wood subfloors that pass moisture testing.
Installation: Floating click installation. Leave 1/4-inch expansion gap at all walls and fixed objects. Do not glue or nail.
Maintenance: Sweep or dry-mop regularly. Clean with a damp mop and pH-neutral cleaner. Never use wax, polish, steam mops, or abrasive cleaners.

Can this floor be installed in a basement?
Yes. Centaurus’s 100% waterproof SPC core makes it an excellent choice for below-grade installations including basements. The rigid core will not swell or buckle from ground moisture.
What subfloor types are compatible?
Centaurus can be installed over concrete, plywood, OSB, and most existing hard floors. The subfloor must be flat to within 3/16 inch over 10 feet. Fill low spots and grind high points before installing.
Is this floor scratch resistant?
Yes. Centaurus features a 20 mil Ceramic Bead Coating wear layer that resists scratches from furniture legs, pet claws, and daily foot traffic. It is rated AC4 for abrasion resistance.
Can I install this floor myself?
Yes. Centaurus uses a Uniclic glueless floating click system that is designed for DIY installation. No adhesive is required. A basic tool set and a flat subfloor are all you need.
Is this flooring 100% waterproof?
Centaurus is built on a 100% waterproof SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) rigid core. It will not swell, warp, buckle, or delaminate from water or moisture exposure — making it safe for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and laundry rooms.
