Gaia Floor — Waterproof SPC Vinyl Plank Flooring

Gaia Floor is a waterproof SPC/eSPC luxury vinyl plank line built for everyday family homes — affordable luxury that holds up to real life. Every plank pairs a rigid stone-polymer core with a 20 mil wear layer and a UV-cured ceramic-bead (EnduraPro) finish that resists scratches and stains, all over a pre-attached IXPE acoustic pad. The line is FloorScore and GREENGUARD Gold certified for low chemical emissions and backed by a 50-Year Residential limited warranty. Kapriz Hardwood Floors offers all three eTerra collections — 28 colors in total — available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

What makes Gaia Floor different

  • 20 mil wear layer. Thicker than the 6–12 mil on many budget vinyls, so the floor takes kids, pets, and rolling chairs without showing it.
  • UV-cured ceramic-bead (EnduraPro) finish. Resists scratches and stains and never needs waxing or refinishing.
  • Pre-attached IXPE acoustic pad. No separate underlayment to buy; rated about 72 IIC / 72 STC, it softens footsteps — a real plus in condos and upstairs rooms.
  • FloorScore + GREENGUARD Gold certified. Independently tested for low chemical emissions, so it is a sound choice for bedrooms and nurseries.
  • Waterproof surface. Everyday spills wipe up with no swelling when cleaned promptly, which suits kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms.
  • 50-Year Residential warranty. Long coverage against manufacturing defects (prorated after the first 5 residential years).
  • Three builds, one brand. 6.5mm, 8mm, and 10mm tiers — plus a herringbone option — cover everything from rental budgets to premium installs, all available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Best uses for Gaia Floor flooring

  • Kitchens & bathrooms — the waterproof surface shrugs off splashes and spills that are wiped up promptly.
  • Basements & below-grade rooms — the rigid SPC core stays dimensionally stable directly over concrete.
  • Busy family rooms & pet homes — the 20 mil ceramic-bead surface resists scratches, scuffs, and claw marks.
  • Condos & upstairs bedrooms — the attached acoustic pad dampens footstep and impact noise.
  • Rentals & flips — durable, fast glueless click install, and a broad color range at family-friendly pricing.
  • Open-plan, whole-home installs — run one floating floor seamlessly from room to room.

Choosing the right Gaia Floor floor

Start with the build that fits the room and budget: 6.5mm eTerra White for value, 8mm eTerra Red for a warmer palette or a herringbone layout, or 10mm eTerra Black for the most substantial board underfoot. Lighter blondes and greiges open up small or low-light rooms, while deeper browns add warmth and hide everyday dust. Because screens never show color or scale accurately, order a sample to view under your own lighting, and our Santa Clara showroom team can help you confirm dye lots before you order.

Frequently asked questions about Gaia Floor

Where is Gaia Floor made and where can I buy it?
Gaia Floor is produced by Gaia Flooring Inc. Kapriz Hardwood Floors offers all three eTerra collections to order — they ship on backorder rather than from in-store stock — and our team at the Santa Clara, California showroom can help you choose and place your order.
What kind of core does Gaia Floor use?
Every plank is built on a rigid SPC/eSPC stone-polymer composite core. It is dimensionally stable across temperature swings and rated for installation on, above, and below grade.
Can I install Gaia Floor in kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes. The waterproof surface handles everyday splashes and spills as long as they are wiped up promptly. It is not intended for standing water, saunas, or outdoor use.
Do I need to buy underlayment?
No. An IXPE antimicrobial sound-deadening pad is already attached to every plank, so there is no separate underlayment to source or pay for.
How is Gaia Floor installed?
It is a glueless floating floor with a click-lock locking system, installed over a clean, flat, dry subfloor — an approachable DIY project, and one our team can also help you plan.
What warranty comes with Gaia Floor?
A 50-Year Residential / 10-Year Light Commercial limited warranty against manufacturing defects, prorated after the first 5 residential years. It is non-transferable and covers the original purchaser at a single-site installation.
