eTerra Red Series — 8mm SPC Vinyl Plank (Gaia Floor)

The eTerra Red Series is Gaia Floor’s mid-weight tier and the only one with a true herringbone option. It builds on an 8mm rigid SPC core with a 20 mil wear layer, a UV-cured ceramic-bead (EnduraPro) finish, and a pre-attached IXPE acoustic pad. Twelve warm, European-inspired colors are offered: eight as standard 9" × 60" planks and four as 5.9" × 28.3" herringbone pieces for a classic chevron layout. The series is FloorScore and GREENGUARD Gold certified and available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the eTerra Red Series

The 12 colors carry Italian-inspired names and lean warm. Golden and honey browns run through Calabria, Riva, and the herringbone Bella Sala, Dolce Luna, and Nota Alta; Torino and Villa add medium, rustic-toned browns; Sole and Volare are soft warm beiges; and Otto Mare, Picchi, and Torre cool the range toward grey-taupe. Four colors — Bella Sala, Dolce Luna, Nota Alta, and Otto Mare — come in the herringbone format for a tailored, pattern-forward floor; the rest are standard planks.

Best uses for eTerra Red Series

  • Feature rooms & entryways — the herringbone colors create a high-end, designer focal floor.
  • Living & dining rooms — warm wood tones bring a cozy, inviting feel to gathering spaces.
  • Kitchens & bathrooms — the waterproof surface handles everyday splashes wiped up promptly.
  • Basements & below-grade rooms — the rigid 8mm SPC core stays stable directly on concrete.
  • Busy family rooms & pet homes — the 20 mil ceramic-bead surface resists scratches and scuffs.

Choosing a color from the eTerra Red Series

First decide on format: the standard planks give a calm, continuous look, while the four herringbone colors make the floor itself a design statement — best in rooms where you want the pattern to be seen. For tone, the golden and honey browns warm up a space, the grey-taupes (Otto Mare, Picchi, Torre) read more neutral and contemporary. Herringbone takes more planning and cuts, so order a sample and let our Santa Clara showroom team help you map the layout before ordering.

Frequently asked questions about the eTerra Red Series

What is the difference between the plank and herringbone colors?
The standard colors are 9" × 60" planks laid in straight rows. The four herringbone colors (Bella Sala, Dolce Luna, Nota Alta, Otto Mare) are shorter 5.9" × 28.3" pieces designed to be set in a chevron pattern for a tailored, decorative look.
How many cartons do I need?
Standard planks cover 18.86 sq ft per carton; herringbone covers 13.95 sq ft per carton. Take your room’s square footage, add about 10% for cuts (more for herringbone), and divide by the right figure. We can confirm the count for your layout.
Is the herringbone harder to install?
Yes — a herringbone pattern needs careful layout, a centered starting line, and more cuts than straight planks, so it adds waste and time. It is doable for an experienced DIYer, but many buyers have it professionally installed; our team can help you plan it.
Is the Red Series waterproof and good for kitchens?
Yes. The surface is waterproof against topical spills that are wiped up promptly, which suits kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms. Avoid standing water, and do not use it in saunas or outdoors.
Does it include underlayment, and what is the warranty?
An IXPE antimicrobial sound-deadening pad is pre-attached, so no separate underlayment is needed. The floor carries a 50-Year Residential / 10-Year Light Commercial limited warranty against manufacturing defects, prorated after the first 5 residential years and non-transferable.
