eTerra Black Series — 10mm SPC Vinyl Plank (Gaia Floor)

The eTerra Black Series is Gaia Floor’s premium tier, built on the line’s thickest 10mm rigid SPC core in a long, wide 9.05" × 70.87" plank for a substantial, fewer-seams look. It keeps the same 20 mil wear layer, UV-cured ceramic-bead (EnduraPro) finish, and pre-attached IXPE acoustic pad as the rest of the brand. Six refined colors carry Greek-inspired names in warm light-to-medium tones, and the series is FloorScore and GREENGUARD Gold certified. All six are available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the eTerra Black Series

Despite the series name, the six colors are warm and light-to-medium rather than dark. Joy is a soft, pale blonde; Rhea is a balanced medium beige; Athena, Eyre, and Matilda are gentle light browns with honeyed and taupe casts; and Cleo adds an auburn-tinged warm red-brown. The palette is deliberately versatile — easy-to-live-with neutrals that suit a wide range of cabinetry and wall colors, shown to best effect by the long, wide plank.

Best uses for eTerra Black Series

  • Large & open-plan rooms — the long, wide 70.87" plank means fewer seams and a more expansive look.
  • Premium whole-home installs — the thickest 10mm board gives the most substantial feel underfoot.
  • Living rooms & primary bedrooms — warm neutral tones create a calm, high-end backdrop.
  • Kitchens & bathrooms — the waterproof surface handles everyday splashes wiped up promptly.
  • Condos & upstairs spaces — the attached acoustic pad helps dampen footstep noise.

Choosing a color from the eTerra Black Series

All six tones are warm neutrals, so they pair easily with most cabinets and walls; choose by depth and undertone. Joy and Rhea keep rooms light and airy, Athena, Eyre, and Matilda add gentle warmth, and Cleo brings the richest, reddest cast. The long plank shows its scale best in larger rooms. Order a sample and view it under your own lighting first — our Santa Clara showroom team can help you confirm dye lots.

Frequently asked questions about the eTerra Black Series

Is the eTerra Black Series made up of dark colors?
No. “Black Series” refers to the premium 10mm tier, not the color. The six colors are warm light-to-medium tones, from pale blonde (Joy) and beige (Rhea) through light browns and a warm red-brown (Cleo).
Why choose the 10mm Black Series over the thinner series?
The 10mm core is the line’s thickest and feels the most substantial underfoot, and the long, wide plank produces fewer seams across a room. The wear layer and certifications match the rest of the brand; you are paying for the heavier board and larger format.
How many cartons do I need?
Each carton covers 17.81 sq ft. Measure your room’s square footage, add about 10% for cuts and waste, and divide by 17.81. Our team can confirm the carton count for your space.
Is it waterproof and DIY-friendly?
The surface is waterproof against topical spills wiped up promptly, suitable for kitchens and baths (not standing water). It installs as a glueless floating click-lock floor over a clean, flat, dry subfloor; the long planks are easy to lock but take two hands to maneuver.
Does it need underlayment, and what is the warranty?
No separate underlayment is needed — an IXPE antimicrobial sound-deadening pad is pre-attached. The floor carries a 50-Year Residential / 10-Year Light Commercial limited warranty against manufacturing defects, prorated after the first 5 residential years and non-transferable.
