What is Venado Oak?

Venado Oak is a rigid, wood-look WPC floor in a warm reddish-brown tone, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Powder-room splashes, daily wet feet, and towel drops wipe up without harm when cleaned promptly. Indoor use only — not for installation inside showers or wet rooms, and outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The top of Venado Oak carries a 20 mil wear layer — approximately 0.51 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Kitchen stress test: dropped cutlery, pans slid from oven to counter, refrigerator casters, and dishwasher spray — Venado Oak's 20 mil wear layer and finish handle the spills, dropped pots, and dragged stools of daily kitchen use, and wipe clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the Venado Oak surface shows a lot of movement built into the figure. Pronounced cathedral peaks sit at the center of each board, and long straight grain lines run down either side of them, giving the plank a clear top-to-bottom direction. The knotting is light, just a few pin-sized knots scattered across the run, so the boards stay refined rather than rustic. The reddish-brown tone runs through the figure evenly, which keeps the pattern varied from plank to plank without any single board jumping out.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Venado Oak's factory-attached acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Will this color work in my room?

Warm artificial light pushes the reddish undertone forward, so the floor stays warm and inviting after dark instead of going flat or grey. Against the room's cool slate walls, that warmth reads as a deliberate contrast, with the floor as the warm note in a cooler space. In a brighter, daylit room the same reddish-brown would lift a shade lighter, but Venado Oak is clearly built to feel cozy in the low, warm light of an evening living room.
