Quick Answer

What is Canyon Oak?

Canyon Oak is a waterproof, wood-look WPC floor in a canyon brown tone, with a thick, heavy-wear surface for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. A splash at the sink or a dropped glass wipes up without harming Canyon Oak when cleaned promptly; don't leave water standing. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Every plank is finished with a 30 mil wear layer — about 0.76 mm — appropriate for heavy residential use and many commercial applications, providing exceptional protection against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear. The extra thickness gives it more long-term wear capacity than thinner layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Canyon Oak has a 30 mil protective layer — thicker than the thin wear layers on entry-level LVT. That's the physical protective film above the print, sealed by finish.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Canyon Oak is all about its cathedral figure. Big, sweeping crowns arc down the middle of each board, then break into tight, quiet straight grain along both edges — a lot of movement through the center with calm sides to frame it. The print runs knot-free, so there are no dark eyes to interrupt the flow; the interest comes from the grain lines and the shift in tone between boards. Board to board that tone varies, which keeps a wide floor from looking repetitive.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Canyon Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Canyon Oak carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Under the bright, even midday light in this room, Canyon Oak keeps its warmth without tipping into orange — the amber steps forward and the brown reads clear and true. Because that light is diffuse rather than direct sun, the color stays consistent across the whole floor instead of going pale in the bright spots and murky in the shade. Set against crisp white walls, this amber-brown feels open and easy on the eye, and it pairs comfortably with soft neutrals, black accents, and honey tones.

Overview

An earthy amber undertone warms Canyon Oak, lifting the canyon-brown color into a lived-in glow rather than a flat mid-brown. Big cathedral crowns sweep down the middle of each board, then quiet into tight, straight grain along both edges, so there is plenty of movement through the center with calm flanks to frame it. The result is a relaxed warm brown with real character — enough going on to stand out in an eclectic room, yet easy enough to work under a mix of vintage and modern pieces. Canyon Oak was photographed in a bright, traditional-leaning living room where the amber tone plays off crisp white walls and honey-toned furniture. Beneath the wood-tone print is a rigid WPC core, so the floor is 100% waterproof against topical moisture and is GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions.

A warm, amber-lit brown with big sweeping crowns — easygoing enough for a room that mixes eras.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
In the photographed room, Canyon Oak runs through an eclectic-vintage living room that mixes eras comfortably. A soft sofa sits across from a carved, honey-toned cabinet, and a black upright piano gives the space its focal point against the amber floor. Rust pillows and a mustard throw pick up the amber in Canyon Oak, while a woven basket and a hanging plant add texture and a touch of green. The bright white walls keep everything light, so the warm brown floor and the collected, lived-in furniture read as cozy rather than heavy — a good fit for someone blending vintage finds with modern pieces.
Will it match my cabinets?
Canyon Oak is built for warm, wood-tone cabinetry. In the photo it sits beside a honey-toned carved cabinet, and the two browns get along because Canyon Oak's amber undertone echoes the honey in the cabinet without matching it exactly — close enough to feel intentional, different enough to keep a little contrast. If your cabinets run warm, whether honey, caramel, or a light-to-medium brown, this floor will sit comfortably beside them. Cooler white or black cabinets work too, since the amber floor gives them something to play against.
Will it still look this bright in a windowless basement?
This room has no direct window light, yet Canyon Oak still reads bright and warm under even, daylight-balanced lighting — which is exactly the question people ask about a basement or an interior room. Warm browns like this one tend to do well away from a window, because the amber tone brings its own warmth instead of relying on sunlight to draw it out. Under good even lighting Canyon Oak stays warm and clear rather than going flat or gray, so it suits a windowless basement, a den, or any room lit mostly by fixtures.
Does this floor work with indoor plants?
Yes — Canyon Oak takes well to greenery. The photographed room hangs a single trailing plant near a woven basket, and the fresh foliage reads crisp against the amber-brown floor. Warm wood-tone floors and leafy plants look good together; the brown makes fresh green look more vivid, and the foliage keeps an earthy floor from feeling too heavy. A couple of potted plants or a hanging one would look right at home on Canyon Oak. Just use a saucer under each pot to catch drips — the surface shrugs off topical moisture, but there is no reason to let water pool.
