Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Carolina Pine handles pet accidents, water-bowl spills, and tracked-in mud wiped up promptly without swelling. Clean up standing water quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The top of Carolina Pine carries a 20 mil wear layer — measuring about 0.51 mm — well suited to heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, delivering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers in everyday durability.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Carolina Pine's 20 mil wear layer and finish resist scratching and scuffing over years of use. It wipes clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner and a damp mop, and keeps the printed grain reading consistent across the floor.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the plank surface is all fine parallel lines, a tight linear grain of narrow striations that run straight down the board rather than swirling into arches. Long weathered splits and a few small, sparse dark knots break up the run, and the grain has real depth, so the russet brown shifts subtly from plank to plank. The surface is a printed rustic finish over a rigid WPC core, giving you that split-and-knot character without the upkeep of a milled board. Carolina Pine reads weathered and hand-worn up close, not slick.
