Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Day-to-day life — a dropped glass, a pet bowl, a tracked-in puddle — wipes up without swelling or delamination when cleaned promptly; standing water should not be left to sit. Outdoor use is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Every plank is finished with a 20 mil wear layer — equivalent to 0.51 mm — a good match for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Safe cleaners for Waddington Oak's 20 mil wear layer: vinyl-safe cleaners, damp microfiber mops, vacuum on hard-floor setting. The finish rules out abrasive scrubbers, bleach, ammonia, and solvent-based cleaners — these dull the wear layer permanently.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the plank shows a cross-cut cathedral grain, with broad arcs of figure opening up the center of each board and fine saw-cut striations running the full length. Scattered mineral flecks drop small darker specks across the surface, and an occasional character mark breaks it up without crowding. The knots are few and small, sitting low and sparse, so the surface of Waddington Oak stays lively but reads clean rather than busy.
