Morisot is a genuine engineered hardwood floor in a medium beige shade, with a natural hardwood grain for a relaxed, homey feel.
Is it waterproof?
No — don't count on engineered wood as a waterproof floor. It's a more moisture-stable choice than solid hardwood and works over concrete or below grade, but the wood surface means water-resistant is the accurate description, not waterproof.
Can it be refinished?
The veneer is what decides it — that thin layer of real wood is all a sander has to work with. At 4mm, Morisot can usually take two or three professional refinishes.
What does the plank surface look like?
The Morisot planks balance warmth with real texture: peaked cathedral arches rise across each board, several dark knots crack finely at their centers, and mineral flecks scatter through the grain. It reads as a natural, characterful oak rather than a flawless one, and the knots are part of the appeal. The wire-brushed surface deepens the grain's relief, and as real oak the peaks and knots fall differently on every plank.
Will this color work in my room?
