Is it waterproof?
Engineered wood is not waterproof. Its layered core makes it far more stable than solid hardwood in humid or below-grade spaces, yet the wood surface can still be harmed by standing water, so treat it as water-resistant and clean spills quickly.
Can it be refinished?
A professional gauges refinishing by the wear layer — the real wood veneer, not the total plank height. With its 4mm layer, Lyon can usually take two or three professional refinishes.
What does the plank surface look like?
The Lyon planks lead with heavy character: dark burl knots gather in tight clusters near the top of a board, ringed by pin knots and fine mineral streaks that trace the grain. Across the wide face the cathedral figure opens up generously, giving each plank a large, flowing pattern. The wire-brushed texture rakes lightly across that grain, and because these are real oak, the knot placement never repeats board to board.
Will this color work in my room?
