Every SPC plank runs a stone-polymer core that’s genuinely 100% waterproof; every laminate line adds a topical-spill-resistant surface over an HDF core, with the time limit stated clearly on each collection’s own page. Most collections carry a manufacturer’s residential warranty running up to 50 years, the majority of the SPC lines are FloorScore certified, and most planks ship with a pre-attached acoustic underlayment already bonded on. • Genuinely waterproof SPC, honestly-rated laminate. The SPC lines (141 of the 180 colors) are 100% waterproof at the core, safe for kitchens and baths. The laminate lines (39 colors) are water-resistant with a stated topical-spill window — we say exactly how many hours on each collection page, not a blanket “waterproof” claim that oversells it.
• Wear layers from 12 to 28 mil. Lighter-traffic rooms don’t need to pay for commercial-grade wear; busy entryways and rental turnovers can step up to a 28 mil layer in the same brand — check each collection’s spec list for its exact rating.
• Most planks ship with the underlayment already attached. No separate pad to buy or size for most collections — it’s bonded on at the factory, which is one less decision (and one less trip) during install.
