Sierra Collection — 10mm SPC Vinyl Plank (Republic Floor)

The Sierra Collection is Republic Floor’s premium-thickness SPC line, built to a full 10mm total thickness — noticeably thicker than most of the Republic Floor range — with a 20 mil wear layer over a dense stone polymer core. Each plank measures 9″ x 60″ and locks together with an angle-drop click system, and every plank carries a pre-attached acoustic EVA underlayment for quieter, more comfortable footfall. The collection comes in four colors spanning blonde, light brown, and medium beige tones, so most room palettes have a fitting match. Every plank is FloorScore certified and backed by a 50 Years Residential / 10 Years Commercial warranty, and the full range is available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Sierra Collection

The Sierra Collection’s four colors — Boggs, Clark, Ellen, and Isabel — span three related families: Blonde, Light Brown, and Medium Beige. The range stays in a soft, warm neutral zone rather than jumping to stark light or dark extremes, so every color reads approachable under most lighting conditions. The lighter blonde and beige tones brighten a small or low-light room, while the deeper light-brown shades add warmth to a large, sunlit space without darkening it.

Best uses for Sierra Collection

  • Kitchens and bathrooms — the SPC core is 100% waterproof with no time limit, so spills and splashes are never a risk.
  • Basements and below-grade rooms — rated for above-grade, on-grade, and below-grade installation, including over a concrete slab.
  • Homes with pets or heavy foot traffic — the 20 mil wear layer stands up to daily wear from paws, kids, and furniture.
  • Rooms with radiant heat — compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant systems, provided the floor’s surface temperature stays at or below 85°F.
  • Sound-sensitive spaces — the pre-attached acoustic EVA underlayment cuts underfoot noise, a plus for condos, apartments, and upper floors.

Choosing a color from the Sierra Collection

Hold a Sierra sample against your cabinetry or trim in the room’s actual daylight before deciding — the collection’s warm blonde and beige tones can shift noticeably between morning and evening light. A lighter color opens up a small or north-facing room, while the deeper light-brown shades tend to hide everyday scuffs better in busy areas. Stop by our Santa Clara showroom to see and feel all four Sierra colors in person before you order.

Frequently asked questions about the Sierra Collection

Is the Sierra Collection really waterproof?
Yes. The Sierra Collection has a genuine SPC (Stone Polymer Core) that is 100% waterproof with no time limit on spills, making it safe for kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms.
Can I install Sierra planks over a concrete basement floor?
Yes. Sierra is rated for above-grade, on-grade, and below-grade installation. Over concrete, a 6-mil poly vapor barrier is mandatory under the flooring.
Does the Sierra Collection work with radiant floor heating?
Yes, it’s compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant heat systems, as long as the floor’s surface temperature never exceeds 85°F.
Can I add my own underlayment under Sierra planks?
No. Every Sierra plank has a pre-attached acoustic EVA underlayment, and additional underlayment is not permitted. The one exception is the required 6-mil moisture barrier when installing over a concrete subfloor.
How much does one carton cover, and can I see a sample first?
Each Sierra carton covers 18.7 sq ft. All four colors are available to order through our Santa Clara showroom, where you can see and feel a sample before you commit.
