The Meadows Collection — 6mm SPC Vinyl Plank (Republic Floor)

The Meadows Collection is Republic Floor’s rigid SPC line built for busy, water-prone rooms — kitchens, baths, basements, and anywhere pets and heavy foot traffic put a floor to the test. Each plank pairs a 6mm Stone Polymer Core with a 20 mil wear layer and an attached acoustic EVA underlayment, so the floor stays quiet and cushioned without a separate pad. Planks measure 7.125″ x 48″ and lock together with an angle-drop click-lock system for a floating, glue-free install over most subfloors. The collection ships in 8 colors spanning medium beige, light brown, and medium grey tones, and it carries FloorScore certification plus a 50-Year Residential / 10-Year Commercial warranty. The Meadows Collection is available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Meadows Collection

The Meadows Collection’s eight colors move from soft, sunlit beiges through warm light browns to a cooler medium grey, giving the line enough range to work as a whole-home floor or to anchor a single room. Beverly Glen, Elegant Sand, and Oasis Eggshell sit toward the lighter, warmer end of the range and help brighten a compact kitchen or hallway. Coral Gold, Isabel, and Rustic Apple bring in richer brown mid-tones for a more traditional, grounded look, while Namib Mist and New Caledonia lean toward the collection’s grey side for a more contemporary palette.

Best uses for The Meadows Collection

  • Kitchens and bathrooms — the SPC core and attached underlayment handle daily spills and splashes without swelling or warping.
  • Basements and below-grade rooms — rated for above, on, and below-grade installation with the required moisture barrier over concrete.
  • High-traffic hallways and living areas — the 20 mil wear layer resists scuffing and wear under daily foot traffic.
  • Pet households — a waterproof, scratch-resistant surface that stands up to nails, water bowls, and accidents.
  • Open-concept spaces — one consistent floor runs from kitchen to dining to living areas without transitions.
  • Rentals and multi-family units — a durable, easy-to-maintain floor that holds up well between tenants.

Choosing a color from the Meadows Collection

Lighter Meadows colors like Beverly Glen or Elegant Sand open up a room with limited natural light and pair well with white or light-toned cabinetry, while the darker brown and grey tones in Coral Gold, Isabel, or Namib Mist ground a bright, sunlit space and hide everyday dust and pet hair better. Because screens shift a floor’s true tone and sheen, bring your cabinet or trim sample and compare it against a real Meadows plank at our Santa Clara showroom before you order.

Frequently asked questions about the Meadows Collection

Is The Meadows Collection waterproof?
Yes. The 6mm Stone Polymer Core is genuinely waterproof, with no soak-time limit, so it can be installed in kitchens, bathrooms, and other rooms where water is a regular concern.
Can I install The Meadows Collection over radiant heat?
Yes, it’s compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant systems as long as the floor’s surface temperature stays at or below 85 degrees F.
Can I install this floor myself?
Most DIY-capable homeowners can. Planks are a floating, glue-free angle-drop click-lock system — start left to right and stagger end joints at least 6″ for a strong, natural layout.
Do I need a moisture barrier over concrete?
Yes, a 6-mil poly vapor barrier is mandatory under every installation over a concrete subfloor, on, above, or below grade.
How much floor does one carton cover?
Each carton covers 23.64 sq ft. Bring your room dimensions to our Santa Clara showroom and we’ll help you calculate the right number of cartons, including waste for cuts.
