What is Lissone?

Lissone is an engineered hardwood floor built around a warm honey tan color, with prominent knots and bold grain for a relaxed, homey feel.

Is it waterproof?

Engineered wood is not waterproof. Its layered core is designed to be more stable than solid hardwood in humid or below-grade spaces, subject to the manufacturer's moisture-testing and installation requirements, yet the wood surface can still be harmed by standing water, so treat it as water-resistant and clean spills quickly.

Can it be refinished?

A professional gauges refinishing by the wear layer — the real wood veneer, not the total plank height. With its 3mm layer, Lissone can be professionally sanded and refinished over its life, subject to how much veneer remains and a flooring professional's assessment. Most of the time, though, a buff-and-recoat or a deep clean handles it — save the deeper sand-down for when the floor actually needs it.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Lissone shows an open cathedral grain with real movement from board to board -- arches and figure vary rather than repeat. Character runs heavy here: small knots and mineral streaks appear on nearly every plank, gathered around one prominent dark knot with a lighter halo that reads as a natural focal point. This is European Oak veneer with genuine natural character, not a light, occasional accent -- expect the grain and knotting to be a visible, defining part of the finished floor.

Will this color work in my room?

That golden undertone keeps Lissone on the warm side of the medium-beige range, so it reads inviting rather than cool in most rooms. In a bright, window-lit space the gold notes lift and the color feels open and glowing; in a room that gets less natural light it deepens into a richer honey-brown without turning muddy or gray. Either way it stays a genuinely warm tone, so it pairs best with other warm neutrals rather than stark white or cool gray finishes.
