Quick Answer

What is Rodeo?

Rodeo is a genuine engineered hardwood floor in a tan-brown shade, with light natural character and a few small knots for a warm, expressive look.

Is it waterproof?

Engineered hardwood is water-resistant, not waterproof. Rodeo handles the everyday humidity swings that trouble solid wood, though it isn't built for wet areas like showers or flood-prone slabs — for those, a waterproof floor is the right call.

Can it be refinished?

The veneer is what decides it — that thin layer of real wood is all a sander has to work with. At 3mm, Rodeo gives a flooring professional real room to work with when it eventually needs refinishing. Until then, a buff-and-recoat or a deep clean is usually all it takes — a deeper sand-down is there for later, once a professional has confirmed how much veneer remains.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Rodeo runs mostly tight and straight, with a soft cathedral-style swirl breaking in on select boards. One board in the run shows a thin, dark mineral streak, and just below it a faint, pin-sized fleck — small details rather than a busy pattern. True to its Clear-to-Select grade, knots stay minimal. The finish is a soft-brushed, UV-cured lacquer, so the surface has a light texture to the touch.

Will this color work in my room?

Rodeo's tan-brown tone shows a soft pink undertone that keeps it warm without tipping dark, so it reads as an easy, adaptable neutral rather than a bold color choice. It pairs comfortably with warm whites, soft greiges, and deeper wood-tone furniture, and works equally well as a calm backdrop or as the warmest element in a cooler-toned room. Because the tone stays light and even, it tends to suit a range of natural and artificial lighting rather than needing a specific light condition to look its best.

Overview

Look down a run of Rodeo boards and the grain shifts plank to plank — mostly a quiet, straight run that eases into a gentle swirl here and there. That movement is real: no two boards read quite the same, because each one came from actual timber rather than a repeating print. Underneath that grain sits a warm, light tan-brown tone with a soft pink undertone — understated rather than bold, so the floor's character comes from the wood itself, not a strong color statement. It's a comfortable fit for a wide range of rooms — living areas, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways — anywhere you want genuine texture underfoot without a loud pattern. This floor suits someone who wants the wood's own natural movement showing through, rather than a perfectly flat, repeating surface.

No two Rodeo boards read quite the same — that's real wood grain, not a printed pattern.

Frequently asked questions

Will it match my cabinets?
Rodeo's warm tan-brown tone with its soft pink undertone pairs well with a range of cabinet colors. White and warm-white cabinets create a clean, classic contrast, while wood-tone or navy cabinets tend to pick up the floor's warmth and read as an intentional, coordinated pairing. Cooler gray or very dark cabinets will read as a stronger contrast against this warmer tone — still workable, just a bolder look than a warm-cabinet pairing.
