Amazon Wood Floors — Engineered Hardwood Flooring

Amazon Wood Floors builds tongue-and-groove engineered hardwood flooring across six collections in four species — European Oak, American Oak, Sapele (African Mahogany), and Betula (Birch) — installable by glue-down, staple/nail-down, or floating. Every collection meets CARB Phase 2 formaldehyde limits and uses an adhesive certified to the German E-1 standard, and carries a 25-Year Residential Finish Warranty (5-Year Light Commercial) plus a Lifetime Structural Warranty. Kapriz Hardwood Floors carries all 24 colors across the Amazon Wood Floors line, available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

What makes Amazon Wood Floors different

  • Tongue-and-groove engineered construction, installable three ways. Glue-down, staple/nail-down, or floating — the engineered core adapts to a concrete slab, plywood subfloor, or an existing floor without forcing one install method.
  • CARB 2 compliant with a German E-1 adhesive. Every collection meets CARB Phase 2 formaldehyde limits and uses an adhesive certified to the German E-1 standard — a real indoor-air consideration, not just a marketing label.
  • 25-Year Residential Finish Warranty, Lifetime Structural. Backed by 5-Year Light Commercial finish coverage too, so the same warranty terms apply in a home or a light-commercial space.
  • Solid engineered hardwood, not a resilient floor. A firmer, warmer underfoot feel than SPC or LVT — real wood veneer over an engineered core.
  • Radiant-heat approved on the European Oak collections. Elite Kollection and Modani Series are cleared for radiant systems designed for engineered wood, following the NWFA Radiant Heat Installation procedure — confirm with Amazon before installing any other collection over radiant heat.
  • Four species across six collections. European Oak, American Oak, Sapele (African Mahogany), and Betula (Birch) — including a dedicated herringbone-format line — gives a real style range under one brand.

Best uses for Amazon Wood Floors flooring

  • Whole-home installs with subfloor variety — glue-down, staple/nail-down, or floating means the same collection can go over concrete or plywood without a different product.
  • Living rooms and bedrooms — real hardwood underfoot, not a printed resilient surface, for buyers who want the genuine engineered-wood feel.
  • Radiant-heated rooms — Elite Kollection and Modani Series are approved for a properly designed radiant system.
  • A herringbone-pattern floor — Vila Do Conde (Herringbone) is a dedicated parquet-format line in the same Sapele species as the standard-plank Vila Do Conde.
  • Light-commercial spaces — the 5-Year Light Commercial Finish Warranty extends the same coverage terms beyond residential use.

Choosing the right Amazon Wood Floors floor

Start with species and width: Elite Kollection and Diamond Series run wider (9-1/2″) and longer (up to 87″) for a more open, contemporary look, while Modani, Vila Do Conde, and Betula run 7-1/2″ planks better suited to a more traditional room scale. If radiant heat is part of the plan, that narrows the choice to the two European Oak lines. Wood tone shifts noticeably under different light — bring a sample home, or compare it under your own cabinetry and window light at our Santa Clara showroom, where our team can also help confirm dye lots across a full order.

Frequently asked questions about Amazon Wood Floors

What certifications does Amazon Wood Floors carry?
All six collections built here are CARB Phase 2 compliant and use an adhesive certified to the German E-1 formaldehyde standard. Amazon does not publish a country-of-origin claim for these collections, so we don’t state one.
Can I install Amazon Wood Floors myself?
Yes — it’s a tongue-and-groove engineered floor approved for glue-down, staple/nail-down, or floating installation. Leave a minimum 1/2″ expansion gap around the perimeter, work from several cartons at once to blend shade variation, and keep end joints at least 10″ apart.
Is it approved for radiant heat?
Elite Kollection and Modani Series (both European Oak) are approved for radiant systems designed for engineered wood flooring, following the NWFA Radiant Heat Installation procedure. For Diamond Series, Vila Do Conde, Vila Do Conde (Herringbone), or Betula Series, confirm with Amazon Wood Floors before installing over radiant heat.
What’s the warranty?
A 25-Year Residential Finish Warranty, 5-Year Light Commercial Finish Warranty, and a Lifetime Structural Warranty, standard across every collection.
Can I use it in a kitchen?
It performs well in a normal residential kitchen with prompt spill cleanup, but Amazon’s care instructions call for wiping spills immediately and avoiding wet mopping or excessive water — this is real engineered hardwood, not a waterproof floor.
Do I need an underlayment?
For a floating install, yes — at least a 2mm underlayment with sound and moisture barrier. For staple/nail-down, cover the subfloor with 15lb asphalt felt paper first. Glue-down installs over concrete need a 3-in-1 adhesive/moisture-barrier/sound-control system instead.
