Quick Answer
What is Winter Glacier?
Winter Glacier is a real-wood engineered hardwood floor in a gently muted soft warm greige-beige shade, with visible knots, stronger grain, and mineral streaks for a rich, inviting look.
Is it waterproof?
No — don't count on engineered wood as a waterproof floor. It's a more moisture-stable choice than solid hardwood and works over concrete or below grade, but the wood surface means water-resistant is the accurate description, not waterproof.
Can it be refinished?
One engineered hardwood floor may be refinishable more times than another simply because the veneer is thicker. With its 4mm veneer, it can usually take two or three professional refinishes.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close the plank surface shows open cathedral grain and long linear striations running the length of the wide boards, with a calm, quiet figure overall. As a character grade, it also carries visible knots and natural character marks — small to medium, moderate in number and evenly spread rather than crowded — along with faint mineral flecks through the grain. That balance is the point of Winter Glacier: enough knot character to read as genuine, story-carrying wood, but measured and restrained, so the floor stays refined across a large open area.
Will this color work in my room?
In this living room's bright midday light, with many windows and warm off-white walls, Winter Glacier warms toward its softer side — the greige lifting light and luminous rather than sinking toward gray. In a darker or north-facing room the same shade would read a touch deeper and cooler, closer to a true taupe, so it flatters a space whether the light is strong or low. Because it is a warm medium beige and not a stark neutral, it sits easily beside crisp whites and warmer wood-tones alike, holding its character instead of washing out.

Overview
Winter Glacier reads as a soft warm greige — a muted beige carried on a warm undertone that keeps it from ever turning cold or gray. Look closely and the wide boards show open cathedral grain and long linear striations, punctuated by the small-to-medium knots and natural character marks that give a character grade its lived-in personality. Set into a bright modern living room, the planks settle into a calm, even field that feels refined without feeling formal, and the daylight through many windows lets the greige stay soft and luminous against warm off-white walls. Winter Glacier is the kind of floor that recedes and lets the room breathe while still rewarding a second, closer look.
A soft warm greige with the moderate knots and quiet grain of a true character grade — calm underfoot, and never flat.
