Quick Answer
What is Sand Dune?
Sand Dune is an engineered hardwood floor built around a soft greige-tinged pale warm beige color, with a clean, refined grain and only very small knots for a calm, polished finish.
Is it waterproof?
Not waterproof — but more forgiving than solid wood. The stable core lets engineered floors live over concrete and below grade where solid can't go, while the wood surface still asks that you clean up spills and keep the room's humidity reasonable.
Can it be refinished?
One engineered hardwood floor may be refinishable more times than another simply because the veneer is thicker. With its 4mm veneer, it can usually take two or three professional refinishes.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close the boards are wide and even-tempered: long straight grain lines run the length of each plank, with a quiet feathered figure that swells and eases rather than forming busy cathedral peaks. The wood carries only light character — a few small knots and faint mineral streaks scattered thinly — so the surface reads clean and calm without going completely uniform. Since Sand Dune is a real-wood veneer, that figure is naturally unique from one plank to the next, giving an installed floor subtle movement instead of a repeating pattern.
Will this color work in my room?
In the soft morning daylight of this bedroom, Sand Dune reads as a clean, pale beige — the greige undertone grounds it so it never looks stark against soft white walls, while the underlying warmth stops it from sliding grey. A north-facing or lower-lit room will deepen it slightly toward greige; a bright, window-lit space like this one lifts it back toward a soft sand tone. Because Sand Dune holds that middle warmth, it pairs easily with both cool and warm decor, which makes it forgiving if you swap bedding or repaint down the line.

Overview
Sand Dune reads as a soft, greige-tinged beige — pale enough to keep a room light without tipping cool, warm enough to feel settled underfoot. Its straight grain flows gently across wide, clean boards, with a quiet feathered figure that shifts from plank to plank rather than repeating, so a full run keeps a natural, hand-laid rhythm. A few small knots and faint character marks break up the field just enough to read as real wood up close. In the photographed bedroom Sand Dune lays a pale, restful base beneath a dark-wood wardrobe and layered textiles, letting the darker furniture and a patterned rug carry the room's contrast. It suits bedrooms, living rooms, and other everyday spaces where you want a light floor that still holds its warmth.
A pale, greige-warmed beige that gives dark wood and soft textiles room to stand out.
