Every plank is finished with a 20 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.50 mm — recommended for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It sits at the thicker, harder-wearing end of the range.

Will it hold up to daily life?

San Marino Elm has a 20 mil protective layer — thicker than the roughly 12-mil mid-tier and 6-mil entry-level LVT wear layers. That's the physical protective film above the print, sealed by finish.
