Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. The stone-polymer core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Laguna Oak features a 20 mil wear layer — which works out to 0.50 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, delivering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Minor scratches on Laguna Oak stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern — low visibility, not just high durability.

What does the plank surface look like?

Each 7-inch plank reads quiet and even: long fine grain lines, a soft feathered figure, gentle cathedral arches, and a scatter of pin knots, with none of the heavy splitting some grey floors show. Underfoot it has a little give and a softer sound, thanks to the cork underlayment pre-bonded to the back of every board, while the printed wood-look surface sits under a protective wear layer.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The cork acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Laguna Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.
