What is Pedra?

Pedra is a waterproof, wood-look WPC floor built around a dark brown color, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Powder-room splashes, daily wet feet, and towel drops wipe up without harm when cleaned promptly. Indoor use only — not for installation inside showers or wet rooms, and outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The flooring uses a 20 mil wear layer — roughly 0.51 mm thick — designed for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, providing excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers in everyday durability.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Kitchen stress test: dropped cutlery, pans slid from oven to counter, refrigerator casters, and dishwasher spray — Pedra's 20 mil wear layer and finish handle the spills, dropped pots, and dragged stools of daily kitchen use, and wipe clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Pedra has a busy, worked grain - tight cathedral rays and looping figure crossed by small dark knots, fine fissures, scattered nail-hole marks, and mineral streaking along the grain. It reads like salvaged boards, printed so every plank keeps that same reclaimed detail.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Pedra's factory-attached 1mm IXPE acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Pedra carries FloorScore certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Lit from the side by cool natural light, Pedra reads as a deep, slightly cool brown - the charcoal edge stays sharp and the taupe undertone keeps it from feeling cold. Direct light picks out its weathered marks, while shadow or dimmer light turns it darker and moodier. It pairs with soft grey, white, and other cool neutrals for a calm, contemporary feel.
