What is Hanalei?

Hanalei is a wood-look WPC floor in a rich brown shade, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a durable, easy-care finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Hanalei handles pet accidents, water-bowl spills, and tracked-in mud wiped up promptly without swelling. Clean up standing water quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Hanalei features a 20 mil wear layer — about 0.51 mm — appropriate for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, delivering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Hanalei's 20 mil wear layer and finish resist scratching and scuffing over years of use. It wipes clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner and a damp mop, and keeps the printed grain reading consistent across the floor.

What does the plank surface look like?

A Hanalei plank is richly characterful, with open cathedral arches, clustered dark knots, mineral streaking, and weathered marks scattered across the board. There is a lot to look at up close, yet the greige undertone keeps it from feeling heavy, and the printed surface sits over a rigid core. Board to board the knots and streaks vary, so a floor reads lively and hand-picked rather than uniform.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Hanalei's factory-attached 1mm IXPE acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Hanalei carries FloorScore certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Under the bright, even light of the photographed room, Hanalei's greige cast keeps the brown from turning too warm, so it reads as a balanced brown-grey rather than a red or golden floor. That cooler undertone is what lets it pair so cleanly with white paneling and with teal and cognac accents. In lower or warmer light the brown comes forward and the greige recedes, giving the same floor a slightly cozier read after dark.
