Martigues is a waterproof, wood-look SPC floor in a gentle medium grey tone, with a heavy-duty, high-traffic wear layer for a durable, easy-care finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Day-to-day life — a dropped glass, a pet bowl, a tracked-in puddle — wipes up without swelling or delamination when cleaned promptly; standing water should not be left to sit. Outdoor use is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The surface of Martigues is finished with a 30 mil wear layer — that's approximately 0.76 mm — built for heavy residential use and many commercial applications, with exceptional protection against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear. It's among the thicker wear layers commonly found in SPC flooring.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Safe cleaners for Martigues' 30 mil wear layer: vinyl-safe cleaners, damp microfiber mops, vacuum on hard-floor setting. The finish rules out abrasive scrubbers, bleach, ammonia, and solvent-based cleaners — these dull the wear layer permanently.

What does the plank surface look like?

Each Martigues plank shows a broad cathedral figure with swirling knot centers and scattered medium knots, framed by straight grain toward the edges. Laid across a floor, the larger knots and bold arches read as confident, sculptural character rather than a fine, subtle grain. Because the figure is a wood-look print, that swirl stays crisp and even plank to plank across the thicker board.

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Martigues' factory-attached 2mm IXPE anti-microbial acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Will this color work in my room?

As a medium grey with warm greige in it, Martigues reads composed and mellow rather than cold. Under the mix of warm chandelier light and afternoon daylight in the room we shot, it looks soft and slightly warmed; in cooler or dimmer light it deepens to a more neutral grey. That steadiness suits a formal room whether the lighting is warm and low or bright and even.
