What is Iris Tan?

Iris Tan is a waterproof, wood-look SPC floor in a deep warm taupe-brown tone, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Everyday spills, pet accidents, and mop water won't swell, warp, or delaminate the planks when wiped up promptly; standing water should still be cleaned up quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; test the subfloor for moisture before installing.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

This floor has a 20 mil wear layer — approximately 0.51 mm — appropriate for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. In everyday use, it's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Iris Tan's 20 mil wear layer and finish stand up to heavy daily traffic and everyday scuffs — the scratch resistance that matters in kitchens, entryways, and busy households. A few precautions go a long way: felt pads under furniture, trimmed pet nails, and lifting rather than dragging furniture keep the finish looking newer longer.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Iris Tan shows a long, sweeping grain with a rough, open flow that reads genuinely weathered rather than smooth and uniform. Fine vertical striping threads the length of each plank, crossed by radiating mineral cracks and small dark knots at a moderate spacing. The character stays fine-scaled -- no coin-sized cracked knots or saw-kerf gouges -- so the face looks lived-in and textural without turning loud.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Iris Tan's factory-attached 2mm solution EVA acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Will this color work in my room?

Iris Tan reads as a medium taupe-brown with real smoke in it -- warm enough to feel inviting, muted enough to stay calm.
