Quick Answer

What is Lincoln Oak?

Lincoln Oak is a waterproof, wood-look SPC floor in a warm medium brown tone, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. A splash at the sink or a dropped glass wipes up without harming Lincoln Oak when cleaned promptly; don't leave water standing. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Every plank is finished with a 20 mil wear layer — approximately 0.51 mm — ideal for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, delivering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. In everyday use, it's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Lincoln Oak has a 20 mil protective layer — thicker than the thin wear layers on entry-level LVT. That's the physical protective film above the print, sealed by finish.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the plank surface shows open cathedral grain that arches down the length of each board in gentle loops and an even, flowing figure. Fine pin knots and faint mineral flecks break up the face at a moderate spacing, staying small and subtle rather than busy. Uniform cathedral peaks with slight variation from board to board give Lincoln Oak a consistent look that still reads natural.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm EVA acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Lincoln Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Will this color work in my room?

In a bright, window-lit space Lincoln Oak lifts toward a lighter honeyed brown, while under warmer evening lamplight it deepens and reads cozier without going yellow. The taupe undertone gives the color a neutral base that pairs easily with white, greige, or charcoal walls, so Lincoln Oak works whether your room leans cool or warm.

Overview

A soft taupe undertone keeps Lincoln Oak from tipping orange and gives the warm mid-brown an easygoing, neutral base. The printed cathedral grain adds gentle movement without a lot of contrast, and subtle board-to-board variation keeps a wide floor from looking repetitive. This durable wood-look surface stands up to daily foot traffic, so Lincoln Oak works in busy kitchens, entryways, and open-plan living as readily as in quiet bedrooms and home offices.

Cathedral grain and a taupe-tempered brown that stays easy to live with in any room of the house.

Frequently asked questions

Will it match my cabinets?
Lincoln Oak's warm mid-brown with a soft taupe undertone strikes an easy, livable balance. Off-white and cream cabinets keep things bright and classic, and greige cabinets echo the taupe for a pulled-together feel. The gentle warmth means it also flatters wood-tone cabinets and stands up nicely to deeper charcoal or forest-green choices without any color friction.
How does this color read in a windowless basement?
Lincoln Oak is a warm mid-brown with a soft taupe undertone, a balanced, mid-depth tone that neither fully brightens nor swallows dim light. Its warmth keeps it inviting under evening bulbs, while the touch of taupe keeps it calm rather than loud. In a basement it reads steady and welcoming; add a couple of warm lamps and the brown glows gently, holding a comfortable, easygoing mood in a windowless space without ever feeling cold or stark.
