Quick Answer

What is Denali?

Denali is a rigid, wood-look SPC floor in a warm greige-brown tone, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a durable, easy-care finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Kitchen reality — dropped pots, splashes, and daily mop-and-go cleaning — won't faze the planks, as long as you wipe spills up promptly and dry any standing water. Not approved for outdoor installation; test the subfloor for moisture before installing.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Denali comes with a 20 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.51 mm — designed for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Dog nails, cat claws, litter grit, water-bowl splash — Denali's 20 mil wear layer and finish wipe clean easily and outlast a thinner LVT wear layer under everyday pet traffic. Claws can still leave light surface marks over time like on any hard floor, so trimmed nails and a rug in high-traffic zones help protect the finish.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Denali shows flowing cathedral grain with an open arching figure, the peaks sweeping down each board in long, uneven waves. Clustered open knots and character marks interrupt the pattern at a moderate spacing -- small but distinct -- with dark mineral flecks scattered through the figure. Variation runs strong from board to board, so no two planks repeat and the wood-look surface never falls into a uniform grid.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm Bioguardian anti-bacterial EVA acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Denali is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Will this color work in my room?

Under the soft midday daylight of a Bay Area living room, Denali reads as a calm medium greige-brown -- the grey pulls it back from any orange cast while the warmth keeps it from going cold. In a bright, window-lit space it lifts toward a soft taupe-brown; toward evening or in a north-facing corner it deepens a shade without losing that neutral read. That range is why Denali sits comfortably beside both cool whites and warmer wood-tone furniture.

Overview

Denali balances grey and brown in almost equal measure -- a greige with enough warmth to feel inviting and enough grey to stay quiet under white walls. Flowing cathedral grain arches down each board, broken by clustered open knots and scattered dark mineral flecks that give the surface real movement without turning busy. In a transitional living room it works as a flexible base: warm enough for leather and layered rugs, neutral enough to let an eclectic mix of patterns and greenery take the lead.

A greige-brown that reads calm under white walls yet stays warm enough for leather and a room full of plants.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
Installed, Denali sits under an eclectic, collected transitional living room: a tan leather sectional and a wood-tone coffee table over a striped rug, an accent chair, and patterned pillows stacked casually alongside books. A white bookshelf display and a pair of tripod floor lamps stand against white walls, while potted trees fill the corners. The greige-brown floor ties the mix together -- warm enough for the leather, quiet enough that the patterns and plants stay the focus.
Will it match my cabinets?
Against the room's white shelving and trim, Denali gives a warm counterpoint without any clash -- the greige-brown reads soft next to crisp white. The same is true in a kitchen or bath: it suits white and off-white cabinets cleanly, and its grey side keeps it easy beside cooler grey-painted cabinetry. Warm wood-tone or natural cabinets pick up its brown notes for a more layered, tonal look.
How does this color read in a windowless basement?
In a windowless basement or a low-light room, Denali deepens into a richer greige-brown, with the grey undertone keeping it from feeling heavy or muddy. The clustered knots and mineral flecks still read clearly, so the floor keeps its character even under lamplight. Pair it with warm bulbs and a light rug to lift the space, or lean into the cozier, deeper tone.
Does this floor work with indoor plants?
Denali is a natural fit for a plant-filled room -- its warm greige-brown flatters green foliage, and the potted trees and trailing greenery read vivid against the muted floor. The multi-tone board variation echoes the organic irregularity of plants, so a cluster of pots never looks out of place. Just set felt-based saucers under heavy planters and wipe up any spills, since standing water and soil should not sit on the surface.
