Odyssey 20MIL — 7mm Waterproof WPC (Paradigm Flooring)

Odyssey is Paradigm’s green-certified WPC collection — the only line in the brand that adds GREENGUARD Gold to its FloorScore certification. Each continuous-press plank pairs a 6mm waterproof composite core with a 1mm IXPE pad (7mm total), a 20-mil wear layer, and a Urethane Ceramic Bead finish over Painted V-Groove edges. Wide 9″ × 72″ boards lock with a Unilin Angle/Angle system, and the floor is 100% waterproof with a Lifetime Residential warranty. Odyssey offers 14 light, airy colors — available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Odyssey 20MIL

Odyssey is Paradigm’s lightest, airiest palette. It centers on pale blondes and soft light browns, with a warm honey tone, a light greige, and a couple of gently rustic multi-tone boards to add movement. These are the colors that open up a small or low-light room and keep an open-plan space feeling bright and calm — a natural fit if you want a Scandinavian or coastal-light look rather than a dark, dramatic floor.

Best uses for Odyssey 20MIL

  • Bedrooms & nurseries — the FloorScore + GREENGUARD Gold certification is meaningful where air quality matters most.
  • Small or low-light rooms — the pale blonde and light tones visually enlarge and brighten a space.
  • Kitchens & bathrooms — the 100% waterproof WPC core handles wet zones.
  • Open-plan living — 9″ × 72″ light planks keep a large room feeling airy and seamless.
  • Basements — rated for below-grade floating installation.

Choosing a color from the Odyssey 20MIL

Because Odyssey runs light, the main choice is warmth: the honey and light-brown tones add a cozy glow, while the blondes and greige stay cooler and more neutral. Very pale floors show less dust but can look washed-out in a bright, sun-flooded room — so if your space gets strong daylight, a light brown often holds its character better than the palest blonde. Frequently asked questions about the Odyssey 20MIL

What does GREENGUARD Gold certification mean?
GREENGUARD Gold certifies that a product meets strict limits on chemical emissions, with criteria designed for sensitive spaces like schools and healthcare. Odyssey is the only Paradigm collection that carries it in addition to FloorScore, which makes it a strong pick for bedrooms, nurseries, and homes focused on indoor air quality.
Is Odyssey waterproof enough for a bathroom?
Yes. Odyssey has a 100% waterproof WPC core warranted against water damage under normal use, so bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms are all suitable. It floats over the subfloor, so spills and mopping don’t reach a swelling layer.
Do light floors like Odyssey show more dirt?
Pale floors actually hide dust and pet hair better than very dark ones, though they can show dark grit or mud more. Odyssey’s 20-mil wear layer and ceramic-bead finish clean easily with a damp mop, so upkeep is straightforward in a busy room.
Can I install Odyssey myself?
Yes — the Unilin Angle/Angle lock clicks together as a floating floor with no glue or nails, over a clean, flat, dry subfloor. The IXPE pad is pre-attached, so you don’t add a separate underlayment (a second pad can void the warranty).
Can I get a sample first?
Yes. Order a sample or visit our Santa Clara showroom to see any Odyssey color under real light before ordering — pale tones especially shift with lighting, and our team can confirm the current dye lot.
