What is Pentelic?

Pentelic is a rigid, wood-look WPC floor built around a soft warm greige color, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Powder-room splashes, daily wet feet, and towel drops wipe up without harm when cleaned promptly. Indoor use only — not for installation inside showers or wet rooms, and outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The plank features a 20 mil wear layer — roughly 0.51 mm thick — recommended for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Kitchen stress test: dropped cutlery, pans slid from oven to counter, refrigerator casters, and dishwasher spray — Pentelic's 20 mil wear layer and finish handle the spills, dropped pots, and dragged stools of daily kitchen use, and wipe clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner.

What does the plank surface look like?

Pentelic is at its most distinctive up close. Swirling knot clusters and looping figure move across each board, broken by gentle cathedral peaks and light mineral flecking. Only a few small knots appear, so the interest comes from the flowing figure rather than heavy character. Board to board the swirls shift, giving the finished floor a soft, hand-drawn kind of variation.

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Pentelic's factory-attached 1mm IXPE acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.
