Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Harvard Oak handles pet accidents, water-bowl spills, and tracked-in mud without swelling, as long as they are wiped up promptly. Clean up standing water quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Harvard Oak has a 20 mil wear layer — that's approximately 0.51 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, offering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It sits at the thicker, harder-wearing end of the range.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Harvard Oak's 20 mil wear layer and finish resist scratching and scuffing over years of use. It wipes clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner and a damp mop, and keeps the printed grain reading consistent across the floor.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the plank surface is all character. Large knots sit ringed by dark, radiating cracks, and long open fissures run the length of the boards between sweeping bands of open grain. Variation is strong from board to board, so a full floor of Harvard Oak looks hand-picked rather than stamped from one repeating tile, and the printed wood-look face keeps that busy figure crisp underfoot.
