Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Day-to-day life — a dropped glass, a pet bowl, a tracked-in puddle — wipes up without swelling or delamination when cleaned promptly; standing water should not be left to sit. Outdoor use is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Torch features a 20 mil wear layer — that's approximately 0.51 mm — well suited to heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, offering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Safe cleaners for Torch's 20 mil wear layer: vinyl-safe cleaners, damp microfiber mops, vacuum on hard-floor setting. The finish rules out abrasive scrubbers, bleach, ammonia, and solvent-based cleaners — these dull the wear layer permanently.

What does the plank surface look like?

The plank surface is deliberately rough-hewn: vertical saw checks and hairline splits cut across coarse, straight grain striping, with sparse small knots and weathered marks. The printed surface keeps that sawn, weathered-board character even across the room, so the texture is all look and no upkeep.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Torch's factory-attached 1mm IXPE acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.
