Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Day-to-day life — a dropped glass, a pet bowl, a tracked-in puddle — wipes up without swelling or delamination when cleaned promptly; standing water should not be left to sit. Outdoor use is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The plank features a 12 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.30 mm — built for everyday residential use across the busy areas of most homes, with solid everyday scratch and scuff resistance. It sits right in the mainstream of the range.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Safe cleaners for Pecan's 12 mil wear layer: vinyl-safe cleaners, damp microfiber mops, vacuum on hard-floor setting. The finish rules out abrasive scrubbers, bleach, ammonia, and solvent-based cleaners — these dull the wear layer permanently.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Pecan is all character - open flowing grain with long dramatic figure, clustered dark knots that radiate into splits, deep grain checks, and strong variation from one board to the next. It is a bold, heavily rustic surface, printed to keep that knotting consistent across the floor.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Pecan's factory-attached 1mm EVA acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Will this color work in my room?
