Quick Answer

What is Tiger Beige?

Tiger Beige is a waterproof, wood-look SPC floor in a deep smoky brown tone, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. The rigid core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The surface is topped by a 20 mil wear layer — approximately 0.51 mm — intended for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Minor scratches on Tiger Beige stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern, so day-to-day marks blend in rather than standing out.

What does the plank surface look like?

Look closely and the wavy cathedral grain fans out in soft arcs, crossed by long mineral streaks and faint cross-hatched abrasion bands that add a lived-in, weathered texture. An oval concentric knot sits on the upper board, small and tight, with a scatter of lighter character marks across the field. The printed surface carries enough tonal variation plank to plank that a full floor never looks flat or repeated.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm Bio Guard anti-bacterial EVA acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Tiger Beige is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Will this color work in my room?

Under a warm pendant glow in the evening, Tiger Beige loses none of its depth -- the artificial light picks up the amber in its brown while the cool weathered cast keeps it from tipping orange. With no direct window light in the room, the shade settles into a deep, even tone that stays consistent from corner to corner rather than washing out. It suits a space you use most after dark, where you want the floor to feel restful instead of loud.

Overview

A cool, weathered undertone runs through Tiger Beige, pulling its smoky brown toward the grey-green end of neutral rather than a straight coffee tone. Wavy cathedral grain arcs across each board, marked by long mineral streaks and a tight concentric knot that keeps the wood-look surface believable up close. In a living room it reads calm and grounded, an easy floor to build a soft, plant-filled space around. The rigid plank format keeps its line under daily foot traffic without fuss.

Smoky brown with a weathered, cool edge -- a quiet base that lets the rest of the room breathe.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
In the room we photographed, Tiger Beige grounds a modern biophilic living space styled for evening. A cream sectional sofa and a live-edge coffee table sit against warm greige walls, with an amber glass pendant and a tall statement plant drawing the eye upward. Woven baskets and clustered candles pick up the floor's earthy brown, so the whole scene reads warm, layered, and calm.
Will it match my cabinets?
Yes -- the warm white shelving in the space reads clean against Tiger Beige without fighting it. The floor's cool weathered brown gives crisp white millwork a grounded base, and the same pairing works for off-white or soft-taupe cabinetry. If your built-ins lean warm white or greige, this shade sits comfortably underneath them.
How does this color read in a windowless basement?
Tiger Beige holds up well in low and artificial light. Because its brown carries real depth, it does not turn muddy under lamps or a warm pendant the way a flatter mid-brown can, and with little or no natural light it stays even and consistent across the floor. For a windowless basement or a room you light in the evening, it keeps a settled, restful tone.
Does this floor work with indoor plants?
It is a natural fit for a plant-heavy room. The cool, earthy brown of Tiger Beige sets off the greens of potted palms and a tall statement plant, and pairs easily with woven baskets and other natural textures. In the modern biophilic living room we styled, the many plants read fresh and vivid against the grounded floor.
