Is it waterproof?
Yes — 100% waterproof. The rigid core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.
How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?
The top of European Ash carries a 20 mil wear layer — about 0.51 mm — appropriate for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, delivering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. In everyday use, it's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers.
Will it hold up to daily life?
Minor scratches on European Ash stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern, so day-to-day marks blend in rather than standing out.
