Quick Answer

What is Syrah?

Syrah is a rigid, wood-look WPC floor built around a warm medium brown color, with a thick, heavy-wear surface for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Kitchen reality — dropped pots, splashes, and daily mop-and-go cleaning — won't faze the planks, as long as you wipe spills up promptly and dry any standing water. Not approved for outdoor installation; test the subfloor for moisture before installing.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The top of Syrah carries a 30 mil wear layer — which works out to 0.76 mm — appropriate for heavy residential use and many commercial applications, offering exceptional protection against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear. The extra thickness gives it more long-term wear capacity than thinner layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Dog nails, cat claws, litter grit, water-bowl splash — Syrah's 30 mil wear layer and finish resist the scratches and scuffs a pet household puts on a floor, whereas a thinner LVT wear layer marks more easily.

What does the plank surface look like?

The plank surface centers each board on a bold cathedral peak with clean straight edges to either side. Fine vertical striations run the length of the board and a few small dark knots break up the figure. It is a confident, well-defined grain that gives the medium brown real presence underfoot.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 2mm IXPE acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Syrah is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Syrah carries FloorScore certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Under the midday daylight and the glow of the caged-glass pendants, Syrah reads as a warm medium brown with its reddish depth just showing through. In the evening, with the pendants doing the work, that red warmth grows richer and the room turns cozier. Against warm-white walls and taupe drapery the shade stays inviting rather than heavy, which is what makes it work for a gathering space.

Overview

Syrah is a warm medium brown carrying a subtle reddish depth, a richer tone that reads inviting without going dark. Each board is built around a bold central cathedral figure with straight edges and fine vertical striations, marked by a few small dark knots across the printed surface. In its transitional dining room Syrah runs beneath a wood-topped table, curved wood chairs, and a wood-slab bench, with black-metal detailing and taupe drapery framing the scene. A cluster of caged-glass pendants hangs above, a gallery wall lines one side, and midday daylight and warm-white walls keep the space bright. It suits design-minded families who like to entertain in a warm, welcoming dining room.

A reddish medium brown that makes a dining room feel warm and ready for company.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
Installed, Syrah runs beneath a wood-topped dining table, curved wood chairs, and a wood-slab bench, tied together with black-metal accents. A gallery wall climbs one side, a leafy centerpiece and glassware dress the table, and taupe curtains soften the windows. A cluster of caged-glass pendants and bright midday light keep the reddish-brown floor warm and welcoming under the transitional-contemporary look.
Will it match my cabinets?
White window-seat cabinetry and trim edge the room, and Syrah's reddish warmth reads rich against the crisp white. The floor picks up the warm wood tones of the table and chairs while the black-metal accents give it a clean line to work against. It is a mid-tone with enough depth to hold its own next to bright white without darkening the room.
How does this color read in a windowless basement?
In the bright, window-lit dining room Syrah reads warm with a clear reddish glow. In a windowless basement or a low-light room that red depth reads stronger and the floor turns cozier, especially under warm bulbs. The caged-glass pendants show how well it takes to warm overhead light when daylight is short.
Does this floor work with indoor plants?
The leafy centerpiece on the table already plays green against Syrah's warm reddish brown, and the floor makes that green look vivid. A potted plant near the window-seat would carry the same fresh contrast into the corner. In a dining room, one generous arrangement does more than a row of small pots against this rich floor.
