Quincy Oak requires a 1/4-inch expansion gap at all walls, fixed cabinets, and pipes. This gap lets the SPC planks flex with minor temperature changes without buckling or gapping.
What kind of subfloor do I need?
Quincy Oak installs over most subfloors — plywood, OSB, concrete, tile, or even existing vinyl. The subfloor must be flat to within 3/16 inch over 10 feet and structurally sound.
