What is Mustang Oak?

Mustang Oak is a rigid, wood-look WPC floor in a chocolate brown tone, with a thick, heavy-wear surface for a durable, easy-care finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Powder-room splashes, daily wet feet, and towel drops wipe up without harm when cleaned promptly. Indoor use only — not for installation inside showers or wet rooms, and outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The flooring uses a 30 mil wear layer — roughly 0.76 mm thick — a good match for heavy residential use and many commercial applications, offering exceptional protection against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear. The extra thickness gives it more long-term wear capacity than thinner layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Kitchen stress test: dropped cutlery, pans slid from oven to counter, refrigerator casters, and dishwasher spray — Mustang Oak's 30 mil wear layer and finish handle the spills, dropped pots, and dragged stools of daily kitchen use, and wipe clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the mustang oak surface is all cathedral grain, with broad arches opening down the center of each plank framed by deep striped figure along the edges. Fine fissures track the length of the grain, giving the surface real texture rather than a flat, uniform look. Small knots show up sparsely, a few to a board instead of clustering. From plank to plank the figure shifts noticeably, so a full floor of Mustang Oak reads varied instead of repeating one image.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Mustang Oak's factory-attached acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Mustang Oak carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

The light in this room is cool and overhead, with no window daylight coming in, and that is exactly where the warm amber base earns its keep.
