Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Kitchen reality — dropped pots, splashes, and daily mop-and-go cleaning — won't faze the planks, as long as you wipe spills up promptly and dry any standing water. Not approved for outdoor installation; test the subfloor for moisture before installing.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Ralston Walnut has a 30 mil wear layer — that's approximately 0.76 mm — intended for heavy residential use and many commercial applications, giving you exceptional protection against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear. That puts it toward the top of the WPC wear-layer range.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Dog nails, cat claws, litter grit, water-bowl splash — Ralston Walnut's 30 mil wear layer and finish resist the scratches and scuffs a pet household puts on a floor, whereas a thinner LVT wear layer marks more easily.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the Ralston Walnut plank shows a straight grain that opens into a sweeping arched figure down the middle of each board, framed by fine flowing grain lines. Knot character is minimal, so the surface stays clean and calm rather than rustic, which suits you if you want warmth without a lot of busy figure underfoot. The pattern shifts from plank to plank with gentle board-to-board variation, so a large floor keeps a natural rhythm instead of a repeating stamp.
