What is Rogers Hickory?

Rogers Hickory is a waterproof, wood-look WPC floor in a warm coffee brown shade, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. The rigid core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Rogers Hickory is protected by a 20 mil wear layer — measuring about 0.51 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Minor scratches on Rogers Hickory stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern — low visibility, not just high durability.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, each Rogers Hickory plank shows an open, flowing cathedral figure with strong knot character. Dark character knots of medium size sit at a moderate density across the board, and fine mineral streaking threads through the figure to break up the warm brown field with lighter passages. The printed surface captures hickory's knots, streaks, and cathedral grain cleanly, and the boards vary enough that a full floor never looks like one pattern repeated. It reads rustic and characterful rather than clean and minimal.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Rogers Hickory is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Rogers Hickory carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Under the soft, side-angled daylight of a midday room, Rogers Hickory reads as a warm, medium brown rather than a flat, one-note floor, since the russet undertones catch the light and keep the brown base from going heavy. Because the light arrives from the side through a large window, the color stays fairly even across the boards at midday and warms a little toward the glass. Against warm greige walls it feels grounded and calm, and it pairs easily with crisp whites or other warm neutrals. In a lower-light room the same brown would read a touch warmer and more muted.
