What is Monte Blue?

Monte Blue is a wood-look SPC floor built around a pale beige color, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Built for daily life: mop-and-go cleaning, occasional spills, and pet accidents wiped up promptly; clean standing water quickly. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The top of Monte Blue carries a 20 mil wear layer — equivalent to 0.51 mm — intended for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It sits at the thicker, harder-wearing end of the range.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Office chair wheels, spike-heel point loads, and dragged furniture all concentrate force. Monte Blue's 20 mil wear layer over a rigid SPC core manages this better than laminate — SPC resists crushing and indentation, where a laminate's high-density fiberboard core would dent permanently.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the Monte Blue plank is about as calm as a wood-look face gets. The grain is soft and straight, drawn in fine parallel hairlines rather than bold cathedral arches, and there are almost no knots to break the run. Board-to-board variation stays very low, so the pattern reads consistent and the surface looks nearly uniform from one plank to the next, an even, low-contrast look rather than a rustic one.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm IXPE acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Monte Blue is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Monte Blue carries FloorScore, GREENGUARD certifications, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?
