What is Mist Oak?

Mist Oak is a waterproof, wood-look WPC floor in a soft mid taupe-brown tone, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Built for daily life: mop-and-go cleaning, occasional spills, and pet accidents wiped up promptly; clean standing water quickly. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The construction includes a 20 mil wear layer — measuring about 0.51 mm — well suited to heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, with excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Office chair wheels, spike-heel point loads, and dragged furniture all concentrate force. Mist Oak's 20 mil wear layer plus 10.25mm rigid WPC core manages this better than laminate — WPC resists crush-indent where laminate high-density fiberboard would dent permanently.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the Mist Oak surface shows a sweeping cathedral grain, long arching figure lines that widen toward the center of each plank. Scattered through it are several small dark knots and pin knots, plus fine fissures that catch the eye without crowding the pattern. The figure shifts from plank to plank, so no two lengths repeat exactly, which keeps a large floor from looking flat or mechanical. It is a lively, open grain, more relaxed than formal, with plenty of small detail to reward a close look.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Mist Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Mist Oak carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Mist Oak reads warmest under soft, low light. The bathroom it was shot in has no window, so it lives on a gentle ambient glow in the evening, and that warm cast deepens the taupe-brown into something cozy and enveloping rather than pale. Because the color sits at a true warm neutral, it pairs easily with blush and off-white walls and won't fight cooler fixtures. In a brighter, daylit room the same floor would lift a shade lighter and read airier, so Mist Oak stays flexible, soft and intimate under lamplight, clean and open under sun.
