Quick Answer

What is Blended Caraway?

Blended Caraway is a wood-look WPC floor in a warm brown shade, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. The rigid core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The construction includes a 20 mil wear layer — about 0.51 mm — intended for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Minor scratches on Blended Caraway stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern — low visibility, not just high durability.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the planks show open cathedral grain that loops and arches down the board, no two faces quite alike. Small dark knots and fine hairline fissures sit scattered across the surface, along with weathered character marks and faint mineral streaking that read as genuine age rather than a repeating print. The medium cocoa-brown field carries enough tonal shift board to board that Blended Caraway keeps its rustic, hand-worn look across a full floor.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Blended Caraway is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Blended Caraway carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Under the warm ambient glow of evening lamplight, Blended Caraway deepens into a soft cocoa tone with its amber warmth pushed forward, so the floor reads cozy rather than cool. Without direct daylight the color stays steady and doesn't wash out, which is why it works so well after dark in a lamp-lit room. It pairs naturally with warm earth tones like terracotta and with muted blue-greys, both of which let the amber notes in Blended Caraway come through.

Overview

Cocoa-deep browns run through Blended Caraway, warmed by an amber undertone that keeps the color from reading flat. Sweeping arched grain and a scatter of weathered character marks give each plank a lived-in, rustic feel. In its photographed sitting area the floor sets a warm, intimate tone under terracotta walls, with a pair of blue-grey lounge chairs and nesting wood-tone tables gathered into a cozy conversation nook. The WPC rigid core underfoot is 100% waterproof against topical moisture and backed by a lifetime residential wear warranty, so Blended Caraway suits an everyday living space that sees real traffic.

A warm cocoa brown with amber depth and arching grain, Blended Caraway gives a sitting room an easy, lived-in warmth.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
In the photographed room, Blended Caraway runs beneath a pair of rounded blue-grey lounge chairs and a set of nesting wood-tone tables, arranged into a relaxed mid-century sitting area. Warm terracotta walls wrap the space, and small touches — knit lumbar pillows, a cluster of candle holders, a glass vase of dried stems — keep the mood soft and personal. In the evening light the cocoa-brown floor gives the whole nook a warm base without competing with the slate-blue seating, and Blended Caraway reads as the color the room is built around.
Will it match my cabinets?
Blended Caraway's warm brown with mellow cocoa and amber depth fits cabinet pairings from painted whites, soft greys, natural oak, walnut, through warm-painted slab fronts. The multi tone sits between styles — versatile across kitchens, baths, and full-house remodels.

Less compatible: stark black or pure-white cabinets in high-contrast modern kitchens can use a more committed floor. We'll pair samples in showroom for confirmation.

Best way to confirm a match: take a Blended Caraway sample home and lay it against your actual cabinets under your own kitchen lighting — that's the truest read, and far easier than pulling a cabinet door off its hinges. Prefer the showroom? Bring a cabinet door sample or paint card and we'll compare it against Blended Caraway under real lighting. Don't have cabinets yet? We carry Boxy Cabinetry on-site (framed, frameless, regular shaker, slim shaker, flat panel — 11 finishes from Ivory White to Black Walnut) — use Boxy door samples to dial in your cabinet + flooring combination in one showroom visit.

How does this color read in a windowless basement?
Blended Caraway was photographed in a room with no natural window light, lit only by a warm ambient glow, and it held its color well. In a windowless basement under warm artificial light you can expect the same: the amber warmth stays present and the cocoa-brown tone reads rich rather than muddy. If you use cooler LED bulbs the floor will look a touch more neutral, so warm-white bulbs suit Blended Caraway best.
Does this floor work with indoor plants?
Blended Caraway makes an easy backdrop for greenery. In the photographed nook one sculptural plant and a glass vase of stems stand out against the warm cocoa-brown floor, and the amber undertones make fresh green foliage look especially vivid. A few leafy plants or a small tree would suit Blended Caraway well in a living or sitting area.
