What is Garnet?

Garnet is a rigid, wood-look SPC floor in a soft warm beige shade, with a heavy residential, light-commercial-ready wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Unlike engineered hardwood or laminate, surface spills don't soak in, and the rigid core won't cup or buckle. Wipe up spills and pet accidents promptly and don't leave standing water. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

This floor has a 20 mil wear layer — that's approximately 0.50 mm — well suited to heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, providing excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

What 20 mil typically means in real homes: many years of moderate residential use without visible wear-through. Garnet in heavy-traffic zones (kitchen, entry) works hardest and shows the first signs soonest; quieter rooms like bedrooms keep their look longest.

What does the plank surface look like?

Each Garnet plank shows flowing straight grain with long, soft striping and a quiet cathedral figure, interrupted only by tiny pin knots. The look is orderly and even from board to board. The printed surface is protected by a 20 mil wear layer, and a 1.5mm IXPE acoustic underlayment is attached to every plank, which helps a bedroom floor feel quiet underfoot.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Garnet's factory-attached 1.5mm IXPE acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Yes — Garnet carries FloorScore, GREENGUARD Gold, CARB Phase 2, Zero Formaldehyde, EPA TSCA Title VI, Lacey Act, FSC certifications, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.
