Paradigm Flooring — Waterproof SPC & WPC Vinyl Plank Flooring

Paradigm Flooring builds 100% waterproof, rigid-core vinyl plank across seven collections that span both SPC (stone polymer core) and WPC (wood-plastic composite) construction — from the value-priced Performer line through the flagship Conquest to the premium 30-mil Private Reserve. Every plank is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality (the Odyssey line adds GREENGUARD Gold), pairs a wood-look printed surface with a factory-attached pad, and carries a Lifetime Residential warranty. Kapriz Hardwood Floors offers 160 Paradigm colors — pale blondes and greiges through warm browns and near-black — available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

What makes Paradigm different

  • Two rigid-core platforms, one brand. Paradigm offers both dense SPC (stone polymer core) for maximum stability and warmer, quieter WPC (wood-plastic composite) — so you can match the floor to the room instead of settling for one construction.
  • Wear layers from 12 to 30 mil. The commercial-grade wear layer scales with the tier — 12-mil for light residential rooms up to the 30-mil Private Reserve for the hardest-used spaces — so you pay for the durability the room actually needs.
  • Factory-attached pad on every plank. Each floor ships with its own IXPE or EVA pad already bonded to the board, which quiets footfall and speeds installation. (Adding a second pad underneath can void the warranty — the attached pad is enough.)
  • FloorScore certified, GREENGUARD Gold on Odyssey. Every Paradigm plank is FloorScore certified for low-VOC indoor air quality; the Odyssey line adds GREENGUARD Gold — meaningful in bedrooms, nurseries, and homes with kids or pets.
  • Pet warranties built in. Insignia and all three Performer lines carry a Pet Stain warranty (dog and cat accidents); Performer PLUS adds a Pet Scratch warranty on top.
  • Lifetime Residential warranty, below-grade rated. Every collection is warranted for the life of the home and rated for above-, on-, and below-grade floating installation — including basements.

Best uses for Paradigm flooring

  • Kitchens & bathrooms — 100% waterproof cores mean spills, mopping, and splashes never reach a swelling wood layer.
  • Basements & below-grade rooms — rated for below-grade floating installation, so the dimensional stability of a rigid core suits finished basements.
  • Homes with pets & heavy traffic — thick wear layers plus the Pet Stain (and, on Performer PLUS, Pet Scratch) warranties stand up to claws and accidents.
  • Rentals & flips — waterproof, scratch-resistant, and fast to click-install, so turnover damage stays low and install time stays short.
  • Open-plan whole-home — 160 colors across seven collections let you carry one look wall-to-wall, kitchen to bedroom.

Choosing the right Paradigm floor

Start with the room, then the tier: a busy kitchen or a basement wants a thicker wear layer (20 or 30 mil — Conquest, Insignia, Odyssey, or Private Reserve), while a quiet bedroom or a rental is well served by the value Performer lines. Choose SPC (Conquest, Performer) when you want the hardest, most dent-resistant core, and WPC (Insignia, Odyssey, Private Reserve) when you want a slightly warmer, softer, quieter step. For color, lighter blondes and greiges open up smaller or low-light rooms while deeper browns ground larger spaces — but printed grain reads differently under your own lighting, so order a sample and let our Santa Clara showroom team confirm the dye lot before you buy.

Frequently asked questions about Paradigm

What is the difference between Paradigm’s SPC and WPC collections?
SPC (stone polymer core) collections — Conquest and the three Performer lines — use a dense, stone-filled core that is very hard and dent-resistant, and generally thinner. WPC (wood-plastic composite) collections — Insignia, Odyssey, and Private Reserve — use a lighter, slightly thicker composite core that feels a touch warmer and quieter underfoot. Both are 100% waterproof and install as a floating click floor.
Where is Paradigm flooring made?
Kapriz Hardwood Floors offers Paradigm as a stocked-to-order line through our Santa Clara showroom; we don’t publish a country of origin for it. What we can verify from the manufacturer’s documentation is that every plank is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality, and the Odyssey line is also GREENGUARD Gold certified.
Can Paradigm be installed in kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes. Every Paradigm collection has a 100% waterproof core and is warranted against water damage under normal use, so kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms are all suitable. The floor floats over the subfloor, so ordinary spills and mopping don’t reach or swell it.
Does Paradigm work over radiant heat?
As a floating rigid-core floor, Paradigm is generally compatible with in-floor radiant heating. Keep the surface temperature within the manufacturer’s stated limit and bring the heat up gradually after installation. If you’re planning a radiant install, ask our showroom team to confirm the guidance for the specific collection you’ve chosen.
What warranty comes with Paradigm?
Every collection carries a Lifetime Residential warranty; Conquest, Insignia, and Odyssey add a 15-Year Commercial warranty, and the Performer lines a 10-Year Commercial warranty. Insignia and all Performer lines include a Pet Stain warranty, and Performer PLUS adds a Pet Scratch warranty. Warranties apply to the original purchaser and are prorated by time of use.
Can I get a sample before I order?
Yes — order a sample or visit our Santa Clara showroom to see any Paradigm color under real light before committing. Printed grain and undertone shift with room lighting, so viewing a plank in person is the surest way to choose, and our team can confirm current dye lots.
