Private Reserve 30MIL — 12mm Waterproof WPC (Paradigm Flooring)

Private Reserve is Paradigm’s newest and most premium tier — a thick 12mm WPC plank built around the brand’s heaviest 30-mil wear layer, the most robust surface in the range. Each board pairs a wood-plastic composite core with a 2mm IXPE pad and installs as a floating click-lock floor in wide 9″ × 72″ planks. It’s 100% waterproof, FloorScore certified, and carries a Lifetime Residential warranty. Private Reserve offers 10 curated colors — available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Private Reserve 30MIL

Private Reserve is a small, curated palette rather than a broad range. It leans into warm, natural light-brown tones — the kind of easy, wood-like colors that read well in living spaces and open floor plans — rounded out with a couple of soft medium beiges. With only ten colors, it’s a focused collection built around a premium construction rather than a wide spread of shades, so it’s best browsed when you’ve decided you want the thickest, most durable Paradigm floor and want a natural, warm look to go with it.

Best uses for Private Reserve 30MIL

  • Highest-traffic rooms — the 30-mil wear layer is the most wear-resistant surface Paradigm makes.
  • Busy family & pet homes — thick core plus thick wear layer stands up to daily abuse.
  • Kitchens & bathrooms — the 100% waterproof WPC core handles wet zones.
  • Long-term whole-home installs — the premium build is made to last where you don’t want to redo the floor.
  • Basements — rated for below-grade floating installation.

Choosing a color from the Private Reserve 30MIL

Because the palette is small and warm, choosing is mostly about how light or deep you want the room to feel: the lighter browns keep a space open and casual, while the medium beiges read a touch softer and more neutral. All of these warm tones pair easily with wood, cream, or white cabinetry. With only ten colors it’s worth seeing the two or three you’re weighing side by side — order samples or view them at our Santa Clara showroom under your own light before deciding.

Frequently asked questions about the Private Reserve 30MIL

Why choose the 30-mil Private Reserve over Paradigm’s other lines?
Private Reserve has the thickest plank (12mm) and the heaviest wear layer (30 mil) in the brand, so it’s the most durable and dent-resistant Paradigm floor for the hardest-used rooms. If you want maximum longevity and a substantial underfoot feel — and a curated, warm color range — this is the top tier.
Is Private Reserve waterproof and basement-safe?
Yes. The WPC core is 100% waterproof and warranted against water damage under normal use, and the floor is rated for below-grade floating installation — so kitchens, bathrooms, and finished basements are all suitable.
Is a 30-mil wear layer worth it?
The wear layer is the clear surface that takes the scratches and traffic, so a thicker one lasts longer before it shows wear. At 30 mil, Private Reserve is built for entryways, kitchens, and homes with kids and pets where a thinner residential wear layer would age faster.
Can I install Private Reserve myself?
Yes — it’s a floating click-lock floor that assembles with no glue or nails over a clean, flat, dry subfloor. The 2mm IXPE pad is pre-attached, so you don’t add a separate underlayment (a second pad can void the warranty).
Can I get a sample first?
Yes. Order a sample or visit our Santa Clara showroom to see any Private Reserve color under real light before ordering — with only ten colors it’s easy to compare your finalists in person, and our team can confirm the current dye lot.
