Scratch Shield-LG8 is Lago’s widest color run — 12 colors on an 8.5mm SPC build with a 20 mil wear layer under the Super Scratch & Stain Shield Tech™ finish. A 7mm rigid core carries a pre-attached 1.5mm acoustic pad, so 9″ x 60″ planks (also available 7″ x 48″) click together with a glueless Uniclic® system. The range spans light warm beiges, cool grays, a light brown and a multi-tone rustic finish. LG8 is thicker (8.5mm vs 6.5mm) on a heftier 7mm core, carries a stated 20 mil wear layer, and offers 12 colors versus LG6’s 3. Both share the same Scratch Shield finish, click system and pre-attached pad.
Is Scratch Shield-LG8 waterproof enough for a bathroom?
Yes, the core resists mopping and everyday spills. It isn’t a moisture barrier, so the subfloor beneath still needs to be dry, and standing water or flooding damage isn’t covered under warranty.
Can I install this floor myself?
Yes — it floats. Click the planks together over the pre-attached pad without glue or nails, keep a 1/4″ expansion gap at the walls, and confirm the subfloor is clean, dry and flat to within 3/16″ over 10 feet.
What’s the warranty on Scratch Shield-LG8?
A lifetime residential limited warranty, plus 10 years for commercial settings, covering manufacturing defects, wear-through of the finish and moisture damage from normal spills. Flooding, improper installation and physical abuse aren’t covered.
