COREtec Originals — 8–12mm Waterproof WPC (COREtec Originals)

Colors in the COREtec Originals collection

This base collection’s 25 colors give a focused cross-section of the whole line — light browns and beiges for bright, open rooms; medium browns and light greys for flexible, contemporary neutrals; and a deep dark brown and rustic multi-tones for warmth and character. It is a good starting point when you want a dependable COREtec waterproof floor without working through the full Premium range.

Best uses for COREtec Originals

  • Whole-home installs — a heavy 22–30 mil wear layer holds up room to room.
  • High-traffic & pet homes — the thick wear layer resists claws, scuffs, and daily traffic.
  • Kitchens, baths & laundries — 100% topically waterproof for splash-prone rooms.
  • Basements & below-grade — the WPC core handles slab humidity once the slab passes a moisture test.
  • Open-plan living — long 7″–9″ wide planks run continuous across large spaces.

Choosing a color from the COREtec Originals collection

Lighter beiges and blondes keep rooms with limited daylight feeling open, while medium and dark browns read richest in bright spaces and pair with white or wood-tone cabinetry. Rustic multi-tones hide everyday wear best in busy rooms. Order a sample and view it under your own light before committing — our Santa Clara showroom team can compare tones and confirm dye lots.

Frequently asked questions about the COREtec Originals collection

What is the difference between this collection and Classics, Enhanced, or Premium?
This is the base COREtec Originals line — 8–12mm cores with a heavy 22–30 mil wear layer. Classics is the slimmer value tier, Enhanced the balanced mid tier, and Premium the flagship with the widest selection and largest planks. All four share the same waterproof WPC core, cork pad, and GREENGUARD Gold certification.
Is it waterproof enough for a bathroom?
Yes — 100% waterproof against topical moisture, so bathrooms, kitchens, and laundries are appropriate. Caulk the perimeter with flexible silicone in wet areas and wipe up standing water promptly.
Can I install it myself?
It installs as a floating angle-lock floor or glue-down over a clean, flat subfloor (flat to 3/16″ in 10′). Leave a 1/4″ expansion gap at the walls, stagger end joints at least 8″, and do not install over carpet.
How many boxes do I need?
Carton coverage varies by plank size, so order by your measured square footage plus about 10% for cuts and waste. Our showroom team can give you the exact carton count for the color you choose.
Can I see the colors in person?
Yes — all 25 colors in this collection are available to order through our Santa Clara showroom, where you can compare samples under real lighting before you decide.
