COREtec Originals Premium — 7.5–15mm Waterproof WPC (COREtec Originals)
Premium is the flagship tier of COREtec Originals and the widest selection in the line — 70 colors on a rigid 7.5–15mm WPC (wood-plastic composite) core with a heavy 20–30 mil wear layer, the top wear rating COREtec Originals offers. Colors in the Premium collection
With 70 colors, Premium spans the fullest range in COREtec Originals. Light beiges and blondes keep bright, open rooms feeling airy; medium beiges and browns are the easy, everyday neutrals that suit most cabinetry; and deep dark browns and rustic multi-tones add warmth and hide daily wear in busy spaces. Cooler light and medium greys are here too for contemporary and coastal palettes. Because Premium carries the most realistic visuals in the line, it is the tier to reach for when the floor is the focal point of the room.
Best uses for Premium
- High-traffic living areas — the 30 mil wear layer resists scuffs, chair legs, and daily traffic in kitchens, entries, and open-plan rooms.
- Pet households — the thick wear layer shrugs off claws and dragged furniture better than thinner LVT.
- Kitchens, baths & laundries — 100% topically waterproof for splash-prone rooms.
- Basements & below-grade — the stable WPC core handles slab humidity once the slab passes a moisture test.
- Large, open-plan spaces — planks up to 9″ × 72″ run long and continuous with fewer seams.
Choosing a color from the Premium collection
Match the color to your light: lighter beiges and blondes lift rooms with limited daylight, while medium and dark browns feel richest in bright, sunny spaces and pair naturally with white or wood-tone cabinetry. Rustic multi-tones hide crumbs and pet traffic best. Order a sample and view it under your own lighting before committing — our Santa Clara showroom team can compare Premium tones side by side and confirm dye lots.
